What’s causing my stone to break down?

The stone under the spillover appears to be the same material as the adjacent stone. However, we purchased this home with the pool and thus have no knowledge of what materials were used.

What’s causing my stone to break down?

The stone itself. The stone just outside of the spill over has lost its veneer, and is breaking down. The “stone” seems to be a week pea gravel concrete mix that is crumbling into the pool now that the veneer is gone.

What’s causing my stone to break down?

Bump. Any more thought? I want to repair this condition and prevent reoccurrence.

What’s causing my stone to break down?

Curiously the breakdown of the stone is outside the spillover “area,” and the stone directly under the spill over appears to be in good shape. To your point, unfortunately the only pool return I have is via an in floor pop up system. One of the zones is in my spa, so whenever I run the pump...

What’s causing my stone to break down?

Noticed that the “faux” stone veneer, or at least what I assume is veneer, is breaking down on either side of the waterfall feature from our spa to the pool. Any idea what would cause this, and how to prevent it in the future?

    Pressure side leak?

It appears the leak was caused by the seal plate o-ring. Replaced the o-ring, primed and ran the system for a few minutes. Shut down the filter and and everything seemed to hold.

    Pressure side leak?

Thanks Jim...much appreciated everyone. I’ll let you know how it goes.

    Pressure side leak?

Thanks... is rebuilding an actuated Jandy valve substantially different than rebuilding a manually operated diverter valve?

Sktn, MPV seals? I am unfamiliar with the term.

    Pressure side leak?

I believe I have a pressure side leak, and I’m hoping it’s in my pump. Yesterday morning, I happened to be outside when my pump started and I witnessed air coming out of the pop-ups. Went and checked the plumbing, didn’t see any leaks, powered off the pump. Once the pump was off, I heard the...

    Possible Hayward Pump Leak

Addition info: leak is heaviest at start-up and diminishes / eliminated in 30-60 min of run time.

    Possible Hayward Pump Leak

I have a 2 HP Hayward pump that I believe is leaking. I was near my equipment pad when DW fired up the spa and selected the spillover feature. When the filter activiated I could tell the pump had lost its prime, and blead-out the system. Curious, I noticed water running down the pump housing...

    Rising PH and spillover

Got it. I’ll fire up the spa jets and see what I can address over the long weekend.

    Rising PH and spillover

Jim, I’d say the spa zone runs for 20 seconds per cycle, I run my system for (2) three hour blocks per day. So in total there’s somewhere in the neighborhood of 72 minutes of spill over per day. If the math and stopwatch in my head are accurate.

    Rising PH and spillover

That’s been my last few weekends (less the spa jets). Everything I’ve read says that TA will fall slowly, and to just keep pushing the PH back to 7.2, let it rise. Repeat. It’s been two weekends of a gallon of MA but the TA is crawling down.
