FC Loss Seems High, No CC

Thank you. I will give the OCLT a try. So to be clear, I shouldn't be concerned that my CC has never been higher than 0?

FC Loss Seems High, No CC

Hi All, I've got a 21ft above ground pool in southern New England. Have been following TFP guidelines and have been quite successful so far. Testing with a Taylor K-2006C kit. I have noticed lately that my FC seems to drop significantly in 1 day. Data below: 7/26 - FC=0, CC=0, Added 64oz of...

Hayward EC40A, how to know if fingers need to be replaced?

Hi All, I am trying to reuse my fathers old EC40A filter, which is probably 5-8 years old ( i think). I am wondering how I would know if the filter fingers are still in good shape? The filter has been sitting for a few years now. We recently put up our new pool and were hoping to reuse this...

CC has been zero since opening?

Thanks! This is actually my second year using TFP. I certainly understand that 0 CC is good, I was just doubting the accuracy of the test. Seemed strange that it would be so low right off the bat.

CC has been zero since opening?

Hi, I opened our pool last week, and added about 12 gallons of 12.5% shock. The next day, I checked CC and it was 0. I then vac'd the pool, and let it sit about a week. Today, I checked chemistry again, and the CC is still 0... Is this normal? Test results as follows for today: FC: 1.5 CC: 0...

How should I proceed with my pool?

Thank you, during the SLAM should the filter be run continuously? As for clarity, the water is very clear, thankfully!

How should I proceed with my pool?

Hi all, Recently opened our pool after being closed for two years. It was a swamp to say the least... I went ahead and shocked the pool significantly last week and added algaecide as recommended by my local pool store. I purchased a Taylor K-2006 and did my first round of testing today. Here...
