    Winter Cover

Has anyone else noticed the price of the cheap winter covers seem unusually high this year. the ones I'm looking at seem to be about 50% higher in price than in previous years. Also, several places I've looked are out of supply for several sizes. Is this just because they are not in stock yet or...

Above ground pool bonding (metal wall)

This thread has been very informative for my situation also, but the one question that wasn't really addressed yet was 'why does the perimeter loop need to extend underneath the deck area when no one can physically be standing under the deck and touching the water at the same time'. In this case...

    Bonding resin pool

I'm just wondering if you would necessarily need the buried #8 copper bonding loop to go completely around the pool if you have an elevated wood deck around half of the pool that would make it impossible to touch the water while standing on the ground?

    Pollen or Algae

Moved from HERE I'm just curious why you are recommending the 10-12 range for FC? It is not a slam level with a CYA of 70, but is that a high enough level to ward off a possible upcoming algea outbreak? I'm asking because I think I may be in a similar situation as the OP with either an algea or...

Circupool RJ 30 SWG Replacment cell vs new system

Thanks for that info, this is good to know for future reference. I was wondering about that when I saw the different model options listed on my RJ45+ controller screen. I just hadn't seen it documented anywhere in the literature on the Discount Salt Pools website to verify it. If I upgrade in...

SWCG Control Panel mounting for Above Ground Pool

Thanks for the info, Yes I agree with making the pool life as easy as possible. That's one of the main reasons for switching to the Salt Water, to save my daily testing and chlorine additions and jug toting. I think the cleaning robot may be next major purchase to make less work for the pool.

SWCG Control Panel mounting for Above Ground Pool

That's a nice clean setup and installation you have there, Did you build the post yourself or purchase it? It looks really good, it makes the installation look nice & clean. It does look like the control unit is on the shady side of the post at least when the picture was taken. I just thought...

SWCG Control Panel mounting for Above Ground Pool

I just recently purchased an Circupool RJ-45 SWG for my above ground pool and I am looking for ideas to see how others with ABG pools have mounted their Control Panels and Timers when there is not a wall or other surface near the filter and pump for mounting. I'm thinking of just placing two 4x4...

Day 5 of Slam and still green with no change in color, please help

I Just wanted to give an update on my slam progress, Sorry for not being as diligent about posting updates, but I’ve been very busy. Well Saturday morning I decided to increase my FC level up to 20, or at least what I thought was 20, because of questions concerning my cya level being off...

Day 5 of Slam and still green with no change in color, please help

I think I've gotten most of the leaf debris from the bottom, I only had a small hole, probably 2'x2' in the winter cover and I don't think that many leaves or debris got in. I have vacuumed and used the leaf net blindly and I am not coming up with anything from the bottom. I have not vacuumed to...

Day 5 of Slam and still green with no change in color, please help

Yes, pump is running 24/7, and I'm checking in morning(7:00am), early evening and before I go to bed around 11:00pm during the work week because that's all I can do during the week but I will be able to check it more often this weekend when I'm home, but the thing is that it doesn't seem to be...
