Changing brushes and tracks on S300

They look good. No haze when operating the S300. Just when using a real pole brush.

Changing brushes and tracks on S300

While the tracks look a bit worn, it still climbs no problem. I guess its more the brushing I wonder about. When I use a real pole brush, I get more haze than I used to... The “vac suction” works fine on visible stuff.

Changing brushes and tracks on S300

How often does one usually change brushes or tracks on a dolphin S300 and what does one look for? I probably run it 3-5 times for 2 hrs a week and its . I am not sure I am getting the same level of brushing I used to get and its a little over a year old.

A Cheap Pool Cooler for the end of Summer

I made about 6 versions all with about 40” of PVC pipe. What seemed to give be the best result was a 5/64 bit with about 40 holes using the 1/3 HP Lowes Utilitech pump. Also, the sound of the water hitting the pool was more pleasing with this size drill bit. Its tough to get consistent...

A Cheap Pool Cooler for the end of Summer

Not wanting to block the returns and normal circulation is why I went with the portable submersible pump option showed earlier in this thread. Easy in and out. Its still working well even in humid FL.

A Cheap Pool Cooler for the end of Summer

What I think would be ideal is to have a water feature sprayer cooler built in with an actuator valve to adjust the flow between water features. On our current pool, it would be nice to have this built in right above where our water fall sheers are. We have a variable speed pump and I think it...

New Build in SoCal - Grout Color???

Ours is about 6-8 inches depending on water level. The sun shelf is the same height as our first step. For us it is good with the 1 yr old granddaughter to sit splash and crawl in and fine for our Omega lounge chairs. We also have bubblers in the sun shelf and any deeper than this would not...

I have a Hayward salt cell and I bought a replacement on Amazon. But it will depend your brand and model.

    Joint/union replacement

Bummer PITA! I had a cracked SWG coupler I had to replace but just had enough room to use a straight glued union and short PVC pipe with a new SWG threaded union. Is there enough room to use a straight glued union on the broken pipe to join a new very short PVC pipe to a new SWG barrel...

A Cheap Pool Cooler for the end of Summer

Certainly where I got the idea here, fitting to returns or bubblers. But Since I don’t need it all summer or every day I didn’t go that route and used the submersible.. for now. If I was building a pool in a consistently hot climate, I’d want something more built in and planned position etc...

Yep. I saw that somewhere 😉. Silicon grease over those screw heads, inspect em and I don’t leave it in all the time or same spot. Thanks
