WWYD -- 2-3 Weeks of Heavy Rain

Ahh, that's a good call. My late Spring/early Summer schedule is 6am-2pm which leaves 16 hours of off time. (How did you know?) ;) I'll schedule more frequent / shorter runs until the rain goes away. One other factor for me that I didn't capture in my original post is we are 95% of the way up...

WWYD -- 2-3 Weeks of Heavy Rain

Yeah, it's 10am and looking like 8pm all of a sudden. Here we go again.

WWYD -- 2-3 Weeks of Heavy Rain

Also thanks for the all the replies so far -- sounds like the consensus so far is to stay on top of it and keep chlorine a bit higher than normal to compensate for the dips. This rain has been nuts. Overflow drain can't keep up with the amount of water coming in and the pool has come up to the...

WWYD -- 2-3 Weeks of Heavy Rain

Hi all, I found a few ideas from doing a deep search but couldn't find this specific question asked so I'm curious to hear some of your methods. I live in Central Texas which normally has pretty hot, dry summers. However, we've had a prolonged very damp Spring that doesn't seem to be relenting...

CYA still present after complete drain and refill

Yeah, I rinsed all the equipment and the walls and all equipment and filters. Also scrubbed tiles then rinsed again and kept draining. I only had about 18 inches left in deep end of pool so it's WILD to think that CYA was that high. I'll tell you, it was a pain in the arse but the pool has never...

CYA still present after complete drain and refill

CYA was so high that the black dot in my test kit disappeared after 1 drop so who knows.... 500+? We've only had the pool for 7 months. Was previously serviced by the past owners who exclusively used dichlor products since the pool was installed in 2011. I do not know if the water has ever been...

Phosphates - to treat or not?

Thank you both! I have purchased a K-2006C and a Speed Stir and I've also returned the $95 bottle of phosphate reducer -- it was almost a perfect swap. K-2006C arrives Sunday so I suppose we'll see what's really going on at that time. Until then, the FC issue has been resolved and is somewhere...

Phosphates - to treat or not?

Hi there, I'm new here (this is my first post). Bought a house last summer with a pool and I was lucky enough to have the fall/winter/spring to lurk around here as well as have a little trial and error of my own. At this point, I'm moderately confident in my pool care system and routine...
