We have softener and whole house filter. Something for iron too. Reverse osmosis for drinking water. No staining.

Pool now has 2 hoses draining the water. Hopefully I can get this pool swimmable again by October, right in time to take it down. 😥

What I'm unclear on is how will I not wind up with the same green water if I drain & refill? I just drained 1/2 way and refilled and then drained 1/2 way and refilled last week. Then went through the whole muratic acid treatment. Why will draining and refilling again yield different results...

I have this test kit from Home Depot that I have no idea how to use. I’ve always just used strips. Attached is picture of pool. I’ve used the chlorine tablets but don’t have any in now because pool store guy said to keep them out.

I went ahead and put the skimmer on one inlet and the sprayer piece on the other inlet. Turned pump on and hoped for the best. Seems to be working just fine. Yay!
