Okay, it must be the shaft. I did have problem getting my pump to prime once and I paid a guy to come out and fix it. He literally spent 15 minutes there. Charged me for an hour and told me I need to plug one of the pipes. Don't you think if they charge you for an hour they should fix that sort...

I found this. Picture attached. I guess it just doesn't make sense that I have to run all new wiring etc when there's already wiring in there. Although nothing about this house or pool has been normal!!!
Well obviously my light is back in the pool. New gasket and new brass bolt. The other was pretty much stripped and hard to get in and out.

Well it doesn't matter really what it says, I already have a new gasket and the light works fine so I just need to put it back together and in the pool. Which I can do later but in the mean time can the pump be run?
