Is the OCLT the overnight test? I was thinking it needed to be clear first. I’m keeping my FC at 10-12. Haven’t worried about other numbers as I’m in a SLAM. I’m new so tell me if that’s not right. I am getting new liner in spring so wondering just how bad it would be if I close it cloudy.

I empathize with you. I’ve used over 20 containers of bleach during this one slam and pool is still hazy. I’m tired of buying bleach! Especially when it never clears up. I’m so ready to just close it down. Not sure what to do.

We do have it as 16x32 but do they need more measurements than that?

Ok I’ve read about SLAM. Pool looks good today, still cloudy but very little silt a d nothing growing on walls. I’m not sure how to post results from pool math so here’s a pic showing yesterday and today. SLAM says PH must be 7.2 or lower. My FC SLAM requirement for SLAM is 12 so I’m good there...

So is the silt from the dichlor or is it algae?

Oh sorry now it’s making more sense. Yes that quick PH test is the only one. Are you saying it’s not super accurate? i don’t. This is all so new to me. I have the bleach but was waiting for testing kit to get supplies.

I did the other chlorine test in the kit, not the easy quick one. Thanks for your help. I need to go read about SLAM.
