Have been trying to clear cloudy/algae water for 2 weeks! Need help.

It doesn't have Stabilizer per say but they do've other additives and I've always noticed that CYA tends to increase eventually over time and I'm strictly on liquid chlorine and use Trichlor to sustain it as a buffer. Reason to not use that for now is due to the slow release nature of it. You...

Have been trying to clear cloudy/algae water for 2 weeks! Need help.

If your water is still cloudy, you are not yet done with slamming and your FC based on your CYA is too low. The algae is happily consuming whatever chlorine you are feeding and burping them off. Ditch the 73% bucket as that will only get your CYA upwards from now on and you are already more than...

    Another Slow Slammer

It makes me wonder if your filter is doing its part of trapping the dead algae or simply letting through the water. If the algae is all dead already based on your test results, those should get filtered as they are sent through the filter. Wondering if you can open the filter and check that or...

    problem with green pool

I always fear that someday I might end up doing this too. :) Glad you figured it sooner than later. Did you notice any pressure difference at all on the gauge while running without the filters?

Pool cover - was quoted $1200

Though I can't comment on the price since the original owner bought mine when the pool was built 24 yrs back. I'm still using it and still holds strong with a few minor torn marks due to the drags. 3 yrs back one of my friend (180lbs) was playing Frisbee and ended up standing in the middle of...

Help with Aqualink PDA & IQPUMP01

I currently have an Aqualink system with PDA which is old and getting glitchy. Also, changed my single speed pump to Jandy VSFlopro and added an IQPUMP01 to control the speed. Issue is, I would like to control the entire system with my PDA when it connects and be able to control the pump speeds...

    overwhelmed lady with cloudy pool

I'm not sure how reliable these numbers are with an expired kit. If your CYA is indeed 0, you need to bring that up first for whatever chlorine you are adding to be effective before the sun can burn them off. Add a stabilizer to bring up the CYA and then SLAM. Doesn't seem like you are done...

    aqualink PS4 PDA not connecting

Not sure if you got this resolved. Sometimes, its just not able to establish a connection with the transmitter and the fix is to open the J-box and flip the switch to learn mode and hit the reset button once and that should re-establish the connection to the PDA.

    Variable pump with iaqualink

Hi, Resurrecting the thread since I'm in the same situation. I was recently quoted upwards of 2K for the same model replacement and interested what options the OP (Spartan) went with. I'm currently controlling everything with an Aqualink RS and would like to replace it with the upgraded unit to...

Another year of good Start-up - Thanks to TFP

Thanks a lot for the reference. I did check that on inyopools. But it's hard to find the exact track as they come in all sizes depending on the number of fiber strands in the rope. I finally gave up and ripped off the rope today since I don't think I'll be able to get the track before the...
