Thanks. Pool Math says 71 oz MA to lower pH and 5 lbs granular CYA to raise to 50. Can I add MA and CYA at same time?

FC= 2 CC= 0 pH= 8.0 CYA= undetectable TA= 160 CH= 415 We've been adding 1 gal of 10% liquid chlorine daily (walmart, good date) with 100+ degree temps in past week. We've never added CYA but startup pool company added 2 pucks and some granular last season and CYA hovered around 30 last year...

Still feel it in the bucket. It's not bad at all (either in pool or bucket), just annoying. Added muriatic acid & chlorine Sunday night (separately). Small amount more MA to correct pH this am, after burning issue. Maybe we're just uber sensitive to it?

Doesn't feel like shock at all. Burns still for a few mins after getting out. Deeper under water worse. I don't remember a mesh. Coping moartered down, deck sand set.

Fill on Thursday, startup from PB on Saturday. Used the TF kit just now, results are: FC 0.8 pH 7.9 TA 140 CH 450 CYA 48 Pool startup guy said he added enough chemicals to get us through to our orientation on Friday evening. Thoughts? Appreciate all the help thus far!

Gorgeous, Jon! Our turf install is scheduled for 6/11, we can't wait. Yours looks great. Who was your PB? Out startup guy said we wait 1 hr after initial startup....we'll see what he does tomorrow. We have some super excited kids (and dogs)!

Got it, thanks! PB stressed continuous fill but didn't say not to turn things on. I probably wouldn't have but still good to know! I have my test kit on the way, what else should I get before my Friday PB startup?

Mixed the abalone. Acid wash is tomorrow. Not sure on startup, our meeting with them is Friday. Please let me know what I should be asking!
