Thanks, but I have upgraded both pump and sand filter. My Intex SWG has never been able to maintain the high necessary chlorine levels we need in coastal AL. I need something better.

We are upgrading our pump for our Intex pool and I'm curious if I can still continue to use the Intex SWG and disconnect the Intex pump to use a bigger pump. Has anyone done this with success?

My neighbor is saying we can use our current Intex SWG with the new pump I linked above. Do you know if that's correct?

Thank you. Yikes. This is getting expensive quickly! Not sure I can convince my husband to spend over $1500 on a new pump, filter, and SWG for a pool that cost less than that in the first place!

Ahhh, yes, I forgot about the fact that the Intex system is a pump, filter, and SWG all in one. So if I buy this pump and sand filter, I'll also need to purchase a new SWG! Ugh!!!! Now I'm really not sure what to do!!!!

Did you make any decisions or find any more info on this? I'm so tired of fighting to keep up with our pool. I've heard to buy a 1.5" HP pump and a 19" sand filter and to upgrade pipe to 1.5 in and add another jet. No idea if this is good info or not!
