    Third time replacing Aquarite thermistor!

I've been keeping it at 3200-3400 which I didn't in the first few years. I thought I read something that keeping it at the higher range was recommended which is why I bumped it up, Will see if the lower range is more successful. I got the parts from digikey. As for salt reading that's a whole...

    Third time replacing Aquarite thermistor!

I've been in this house 8 years. Two years ago I replaced this part for the second time. I think the first replacement was two years prior to that. Today I have the same issue. When I opened the panel the part is cracked. I will be replacing it today (fortunately I bought two last time just...

Identifying leak in wall of ig liner

I have a 20 year old in-ground vinyl liner that we plan on replacing next spring. I did a bucket test which confirmed that I have a leak. After a few days of monitoring the water loss has stopped. The level is above the returns and above the bottom of the skimmer opening. I had a leak in the...

How to clean speedstir and tubes?

Thank you all. Rubbing alcohol (50% concentration) cleaned most of it, just not the line where the magnetic bean touches and the creaves of the magnet. Looks much better though!! Will try some muriatic acid to get the last bit. It took quite a bit of rubbing to get the black marks off so will...

Good to know! I think I have the same issue as replacing battery did not fix my issue.

How to clean speedstir and tubes?

My test tubes and magnet have some black specs and starting to look cloudy. What is the best way to clean them? I read a post about using muratic acid or vinegar but want to make sure that I don't damage the magnet.

preventing IF code on heater when windy

It's a Hayward H250ED2C. It is located next to the side of the house. No error code all of last year nor the past two days when it's been running for several hours, so I'm confident that it's the wind. I would howevera like to determine if one or more blocked orifices could be contributing...

preventing IF code on heater when windy

When we replaced our heater last spring we didn't get a wind stack which the old unit had as we don't live in an area that has high wind issues. It was fine until the other day. I turned it on and when I came back to check on it there was an IF code. After doing some research I figured out...

proper chem level for new pool heater -manual vs tfp recommendation

Thanks. Just installed so don't want to risk warranty issue. I will increase it to recommended level. Since I have swg I am always checking for ph level being too high.

proper chem level for new pool heater -manual vs tfp recommendation

The recommended levels page of tfp says that CH for swg pool should be 0-300 (don't add). My newly installed hayward h250 manual says that it should be 200-400. If too low it could be corrosive to heat exchanger. Which should I follow? I current get a reading of 50 and in the past never...

    Dolphin lacking suction/power

It looks like the issue was the receptacle. I found while doing an unrelated upgrade that it is 120v at the breaker but only 50v at the receptacle. I plugged it in elsewhere and now it's working beautifully. No idea how long the receptacle has been like this as it is mainly used for the pool...

just got H250ed2c heater and have a few questions

I've been testing it each day and it looks like (so far at least) the issue has gone away. It is now taking 13-30 secs. Is it normal for it to purge after being on standby for 24 hours or so? Any long term issues that can arise? There was no error code and I have the gas line fully open.
