Hello,

I just drained/refilled my entire pool and added Cyanuric Acid using the sock method and am ready to slam but have a few questions.

1. Can you SLAM when water temp at 60 degrees.
2. Do I need to SLAM with fresh water that's never been above 60 degrees in the week since it's been filed? Had pucks in the whole time waiting for Cyanuric Acid to register.
3. Can I SLAM while aerating?

Yes you can SLAM at 60 degrees. Can you provide a full set of test results so we can advise you better? Don't aerate so much that your pH goes above 7.2-7.4.

2. Do I need to SLAM with fresh water that's never been above 60 degrees in the week since it's been filed? Did you have algae before? If so, yes. If no, no. Had pucks in the whole time waiting for Cyanuric Acid to register.

3. Can I SLAM while aerating? Better do do one thing at a time. You can't trust the pH readings when FC is above 10, so aerating as part of the process to lower TA won't work anyway because you'll be working blind.
