Power Center fuse blows after startup

My 10 AMP fuse keeps blowing in my power center. It doesn’t happen until the chlorine generator salt level lights run through their initial start up test. Everything is good until the salt level light flips to green and then immediately the fuse blows. Is this a generator problem or a power center problem? This is a new IC 40 chlorine generator as my old one quit working completely so I’m a little confused about whether it’s the generator or the power center. Any advice on how to test us? Again fuse does not blow right away when I put power to the generator it happens once the salt level initial start up test finishes and the light flips to green( good)

R,

Sorry, I jumped the gun and missed that the cell was brand new...

Is the cell the only thing being powered by the Power Center. Do you have an ipH??

If you have a voltmeter, you can test the AC into the power supply card (surge card).. it should be about 28 Volts AC. Then you can test the DC output that is what powers the cell. It should be 30 to 40 volts DC.

What happens if you connect your old cell???

It still sounds like a bad cell to me. But, I agree with Dirk, I'd get Pentair involved.

Thanks,

Jim R.
