By Owner in Phoenix: started up!!

What if some of these forms won't come off. This piece of rebar is cemented in and the board by the skimmer is surrounded by concrete.

That looks like it will take a sawzall for the rebar and masonry type chisel and mini sledge to get the board to break free. The overspray on the top right should crumble fairly easily with a few hits from the sledge.

Tile work started today. All is going well so far other than they didn't order enough of the bullnose tile for the spillover (she ordered feet, they gave pieces.)

Other than that, smooth sailing.

💕 LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that dam wall!!! Who's idea was it to do it like that?? They need a hug and huge thank you for that!!!
It was a combo of us and Rosie at RVCA Tile, and then the tile installer himself. We moved and played with variations and this is the final result. We are all thrilled, it looks sooooo good!

That's also kind of the centerpiece you see from the living room and when you walk out to the yard so we are excited at how nice it came out.

That tilework looks great! The blue is very bold. It almost reminds me of some spanish pottery we have... and then my thoughts drift to margaritas! Have you picked a plaster/pebble color?

That is all bold by design, as we are going to have lighter accents on the pillars, coping, and aqua cool micro pebble.

Green turf around it all. We are going for a Cancun feel so the fact that tile said margaritas to you is gold lol.

That's why we picked the tile with some browns in it, to transition to the coping and the lighter pool water, and let the bold waterline shine.

We also have blue abalone tile for steps and benches, and a brown marbled mosaic for the reef step.

Our dog likes the toy choices. He brought a tou to chew on samples lol.

Added some photos at dusk.

Looks great! I think they need to start giving me commissions 😉. I think you are the 3rd people to use them because I recommended them 😁. I’m glad they’ve done a good job for you.
It's now a pyramid scheme because I'm recommending new clients. Lol.

Honestly, they are great and I thank you so much for recommending them. I was thisclose to going with the "other guys."
