Winter Cover Recommendations

It really depends on what type of cover you want.. the more expensive ones are nicer safety covers.. They will need to be made to order from a company local to you..

I have no idea, I just hear people talking about them... I have never covered my above ground pool and I am debating on covering my in ground when it is done.. :)

I'm in a similar boat. Pool was done in June and now shopping for my first cover. Just got my first quote today on a Merlin SmartMesh cover and nearly choked on my coffee. $6200 installed! We have a 42x21 (750 sqft) freeform with paver deck. It sounds like it may be typical but I had no idea it would be that high. Not sure if there is a "value" brand out there that I should be looking at but I will surely be getting a couple additional estimates.

I'm going with a Loop Loc Aqua Extreme for my pool. Just got the quote and its $4,215.98 installed. Paver deck and this is first time so it includes the work to install the anchors. I'm in NJ so nothing here is ever on the cheaper side.

I haven't made decision yet as my pool was under construction until last week. No one would come and measure until all the decking was installed. I am going to decide between Merlin and Loop Loc mesh covers. My big question is whether it's worth the upgrade in price to go with their super dense mesh covers over the standard mesh. Can anyone offer any insight into this issue?

same question I had/have but decided to get the benefits of both mesh and solid with the Aqua Extreme! Hopefully not a gimmick. Anybody have any intel on Mummer43's question??

i actually went with merlin smart mesh for around 4k 16x32 but i have a full 16 ft sheer decent wall that creates some challenges. Also i don't want him drilling into porcelain tile so they have to order extra long straps, anchors will be installed in dirt. its on order i am suppose to have it in next 2 weeks. i went with smart mesh because my PB only uses merlin . since i don't have it installed yet i cant give you any more info but from what i have heard both merlin and loop-loc are same . i can report back in about 2 weeks when its installed.
