Which Test Kit is easier to read?

The tests in each kit are the same. I like the hardware that comes with the TF kit better.
Hey HH and welcome !! They read the same and the TF-100 was about $50 cheaper last week. $100 cheaper 2 weeks ago. Today is anybody’s guess. The K2006C comes with more of what you won’t be using frequently so a lot of it will expire, but there is nothing wrong with having extra for those who like it.

Ahhhhhh. Gotcha. I can’t tell any advantage. My TF-100 came with 2 different vial types and they are half dozen or six between them. One has black markings and the other is etched. This only matters for filling the vials with pool water.
The testing itself is identical and most of the tests are looking for bold color changes which are easy to spot. CYA and PH mess with all of us, also being identical between kits.
If you hadn’t planned on it already, the smart stir is hands down the best $30 you can spend on your pool.

The only issue I had is that the printed scale rubbed off on the TF test kit "chlorine only" tube. I switch to the Taylor Vial that has the levels molded into the side of the vial. This here. It also fits right on the speed stir.

The markings on the 2006C vials are etched so they won’t rub off and it comes in a really nice blue plastic box…..which I like much better than the TF100 kit organizer. There, I said it.

I can’t compare the two because I bought the Taylor K-2006C. I do know that I like the 2 ounce reagent bottles. I am also a little ocd. I don’t need to test everything all the time but I do. Yes, the speed stir is a must have, period.
I like the Taylor SampleSizer that you use with Taylor sample tubes.

It wasn't available when I bought my TF100, but if it had been, I'd have bought the 'top of the line" $165 one, which has everything you need, including salt test, in one kit.

I have bought both and use pieces from both of them. The tf-100 is the better value. You get a lot more of most of the reagents with the TF-100. The CYA test has way more reagent with the TF-100 and the tube to test it is way better and easier to read then the one that comes with the 2006c. The 2006c comes with a better case and I like the color coded instructions that are printed on the inside of the case. The 2006c has a completely different ph test which I prefer to the one in the TF-100. The 2006c PH test kit uses a 40ml sample that uses 5 drops of reagent and you get a bigger bottle of the ph reagent. The tf100 uses a 10ml sample with 5 drops of reagent. The ph reagents aren’t compatible between the two kits. Also, the values are slightly different between the two. The Tf-100 for example has 7.5 where the 2006c has 7.6. I like the test tubes from the 2006c better as they are designed to work with the Taylor sample sizer where the tubes that come with the tf-100 can’t work with it. If you don’t have a kit, I would just buy the TF-100. If you started out with the 2006c don’t feel disappointed that you overpaid in comparison to the Tf-100 as it does have a few differences that are worth while to have, but buy the tf-100 when it gets low or expired and just buy refills from them (other then for the PH if you prefer the 2006c ph test) and you will have a kit with the best of both.
