We have two Hayward ColorLogic lights we are trying to replace. It seems fairly straightforward to replace but we are unable to get the existing light out of the conduits. We have removed the light face with the special tool they provide but we can’t pull the old light fixtures out. We have been unable to find any videos and the documentation that comes with the lights is for initial installation. Anyone ever replaced these that can give us some ideas what to do?

Those are nicheless lights. You must disconnect the wiring at the junction box, tie a pull line to the wire, and then pull the light and wire out. You then use the pull line to pull the new lights in.

Thanks Marty, I understand all that. The problem I'm having is the current light won't pull out of the pool it's very tight (I've removed the screw on light face) but can't pull it out. I wondered if there was something that has to be released?

I see you do have the tool. Once unscrewed, the light should pull out with the cord. They can be stubborn. I know my Pentair Globrites can be snug (especially the 70' cord one).
