Saltwater Aurora all-resin pool build thread!

I can’t vouch specifically for Waterway’s sand filters, so that’s going to be my excuse if you don’t like it. 🤣

The pump should be great though. I’ve had mine running 24/7 on low since I opened the pool a few weeks ago- it’s so quiet I forget it’s even on when I’m working outside and have to go check when I remember!! Once I’m not worried about random night freezes I’ll set my timer to only run it during daylight - hoping to maximize circulation when the sun is shining.

And in all seriousness I’m pretty confident you’ll like the filter too. ;)

Hey now! 🤣 I took the week off this week to work on my deck - been out busting my behind on that. I hope to have the framing done tomorrow, framing inspection Thursday, and start the decking this weekend pending approval. If my body holds up through all this that is.

More pics to come soon in my thread for that build.
The sand filter is the easy part of the equation, so I am sure you are right!

Cant’t wait to see your finished deck!

@rweiler994 , any idea what those letters under “Plumbing Style” mean?
It has to do with the way the SWG attaches to the plumbing system and the style of unions used. AKA are they interchangeable. You would need to ask DiscountSaltPool what the exact code stands for. I believe the * means there is a conversion kit available to go from one type to another. I'm surprised there is no key.

Argh, I am so aggravated! My pump and filter was supposed to be delivered today, and never arrived. So I checked tracking thinking it was delayed, but no... delivery was refused by someone that does not live here and that I have never heard of, and rather than thinking, “you know, maybe we should inquire because this person is definitely not the name on the order...” they shipped it back! It has already left Tampa distribution center!

Of course i can’t reach anyone at UPS. I’ve already fired off an email and tried to file a claim, but I have to wait 24 hours. I emailed Pool Warehouse too, but they probably can’t do anything other than re-ship. Soooooo annoying!

Been there too OR my package shows delivered but not found anywhere in or out of the house. So I launch an investigation only to find out 4 days later it was delivered elsewhere by mistake and they're looking for it. When I have a package at my doorstep that obviously is delivered in error I immediately call FedEx or ups with the label tracking numbers and within a short couple of hours it gets retrieved and redelivered only hoping others do the same but as the customer service tells me that's wishful thinking.

It made it to Jacksonville last night. There’s something masochistic about watching its journey back to Ohio.

Oh my goodness YES !!!! Wow this hurts. Lemme keep watching and make it hurt MORE !! ?? !! ?? !! Looooooooool

Well, now UPS is saying that it was returned to sender due to accidental damage.

Lol, they just called, it was NOT sent to Jax last night, and the box was ripped but they taped it back and supposedly it is now out for delivery. At this point, I don’t know what to believe!

And it is here. I feel like I’m in twilight zone! I’m in the middle of a virtual meeting so I cant inspect yet, but I certainly will be doing so later!

Well, I will recommend checking it thoroughly if it actually shows up for transport damage. I think items get messed up like this because of so much lack of dedication to get the job done right in today's world. See my company struggling to get people to work and we start near $20.00/hour. And Missouri doesn't have a high cost of living compared to either coast.

I will indeed. I don’t care if the box is messed up as long as item itself is ok. It looks like the box just opened up and didn’t rip, and they retaped the flaps. We’ll see!

I hope all is well for you, as much as I have to say my Intex pump was dependable, I don't think I would want it trying to keep up on my new 21' round pool.
My Intex is still plugging along... I’m not going to diss it!

My intelliflo box was all but mangled a few weeks back. It was difficult to move without dumping out the bottom and I seriously was concerned about how many times it HAD fallen out. But the eggcrate shell was in good shape inside so hopefully the pump is good one of these days if I get my pool built. *sigh*. Silly little details.

Although I do feel much better about it all having purchased from INYO. If i was to need their support I’m sure it would be easier with them.

I sold mine last summer when the Intex liner refused to hold water. It was working perfectly th though, and I also will not talk bad about it. The person that bought it was super happy with it also, he messaged me.

Unpacked it yesterday. It appears to be in good shape. Holy cow is this sand filter huge! I’m pretty sure a 7 year old could actually fit inside of it!
