Hi! I am throwing this article I came across wayyy in the deep end -- "Swimming pool heating technology: A state-of-the-art review" from the international journal of thermal sciences called "Building Simulation." It has diagrams! And formulas! And cites other interesting articles.

I have some doubts about it. They are stating the over a life cycle, heat pumps are more cost effective then solar panels. My solar panels are 13 years old and still going strong.

I skimmed through it and it seemed a very academic view from some students who had no practical experience in what they were writing about. I am sure they had fun writing it and got a good grade.
