What coping did you choose?

I need to decide on coping and waterline tile and I am having the worst time narrowing it down, let alone making a hard decision!
Our build is 20×40 rectangle so we are thinking larger rectangular coping. Prefer something with some texture or anti-slip since we have little kids. I've been looking at sandstone or limestone with a bullnose. There seems to be more options if I go travertine or porcelain, but I'm worried about it getting slippery.

Help! What did you use for coping? Do you love it? Would you do something differently?

We have travertine and I do not find it to be slippery at all. I would also be worried about sandstone or limestone being "softer" and crumbling in the pool.

We chose porcelain, no sealing required.

Edit: Our porcelain is a light silvery grey with a sandstone or lime stone type texture. When you hone porcelain for a bullnose you loose the surface and get the porcelain substrate. We went with a dark black grey water line tile, looks good but I cant see the water line or level. We also used a matching tile on the skimmer lid which looks really nice but it is a bit harder to use.

We chose white sawed limestone for our coping and deck. It is a smooth version of the limestone on our house and we have it on other deck areas at our house.

It is not slippery at all and is cool in the summer. But...I understand that SWGs and this type of stone don’t play well together. We weren’t happy with that but ultimately the need to match stone elsewhere ranked higher.

We used our pool tile through the house to, or rather we used our house tile out on the pool wall. It’s subtle but really helps to tie it all together. We have the smooth version of the textured on our side wall, it’s a bit hard to pick them as being the same but I guess it does add to the overall look.
