Jandy Aqualink RS Troubleshooting

After several days of 0 degree temps here in Tx and rolling black outs in Feb, I was finally able to obtain plumbing parts to fix the known breaks and turn the power back on. When we realized the black outs were going to be sustained (several hours at a time), I flipped the breaker at the box to protect the pump. Unfortunately, the pool light, equipment light etc. works, but the pump display doesn't show power getting there. I'm hoping this is a relay issue and not a blown pump (pentair intelliflo vs+svrs pump). Second hope is the capacitor on the pump needs to be replaced, or something else fairly inexpensive. Any recommendations on how I should trouble shoot at the Jandy Aqualink RS box. I don't suppose I could switch the pool light relay for the pump relay to test? Have not taken the panel off the box yet...just thought of this at work today and will try tonight. Would appreciate any other tips.

I see you have a SVRS pump - I picked this off a website of what may be a cause.
A safety vacuum release system (SVRS) is a system or a device that disables a pool pump’s suction ability so that a body or object trapped against the suction outlet is freed. It does this by inducting air to the pump and/or powering down the pump motor when it senses a sudden vacuum increase. Could this be an issue with your pool?

Thank you for the reply Herman, but the issue is no power at the pump. When the SVRS kicks in, the display is still active and you have to simply clear the message...there are periodic false shutdowns with an SVRS...try vacuuming your pool with this system. Anyway, looking for expertise on troubleshooting the relays.

Do you have a multimeter? You can use a multimeter to check if you have voltage on the LINE or LOAD screws of your pump relay.

Is the IntelliFlo pump connected to the LINE side or LOAD side of the relay?

If the pump is connected to the LOAD side of the relay you can move it to the LINE side.

A multimeter is your diagnostic friend as long as you are comfortbale working around live circuits.

Thank you AJW22. I do a bit of electrical work around the house and use a simple tester to determine if the power is off, but I don't have a multimeter. I'll have to pick one up this week. With regards to the line & load Q, I believe the line is on the left side of the relay and load is on the right, when looking at the Jandy RS Panel?
