Texas freeze..ugh! Our unit froze during the night when our power went out for 30+ hours.
We lost the variable pump and the the multi-port valve ( the part that switches to backwash etc). I ordered those right away, but the filter top lid has a slight crack. We’ve been trying it to find a lid.

The top lid (part # 170022) cracked, but the unit is 10 years old, and if I have to buy the whole thing, I will. Anyone know where I can buy the replacement unit OR the top lid? Pentair FNSP 60 Vertical Grid D.E. filter.

Meanwhile, I’ve been adding bleach and brushing daily.

Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

Like anything really. Prep is the whole key to making it work. Like anything. Thanks for the link. it might get us by while we wait for a replacement.

The filter is a pressurized vessel. Do NOT attempt to fix it. Chances are the "fix" will last just long enough to cause the filter to rupture. A rupture can cause bodily damage to anyone in the vicinity and may damage additional equipment. Don't take the chance - just replace the unit.

I will replace the entire filter unit - once I find one. Seems everybody in TX needs them after the power outage.

I am looking for the same thing. I found a couple of places that say they have it in stock but can not reach anyone to confirm. I was also thinking of fiberglassing the inside for a temporary fix. Contacted a professional fiberglass company and he said the patch would only handle maybe 5 lbs of pressure so it would not work.
