Howdy -

While cleaning up my yard today from the Snowpocolypse I found that my Fiberstars 6000 series fiber optics engine was chewed up by rats. We have already replaced this once with a new one and repaired it once from rats eating wires before. Does anyone know of a LED fiber engine that could replace the Fiberstars? The Fiberstars are now going for nearly 900 dollars and as little as I used this I don't want to spend that kind of money. Or anything else I could use to drive the fiber fountain lights?

Thanks

This is not less expensive....

Flippy , the JRSmith treo’s can be done for cheaper if you want to put together your own package to replace the fiber lights with led “equivalents”. Not just the “controller, but the lights also. See this post

I wouldn’t recommend the cheap $12 transformer to drive them as I mentioned in that post. They make safety transformers that are specifically made for water/pool applications. I have bought, but not yet replaced, a replacement for my cheap transformer:

I see that there are currently a couple Treo LEDs from amazon warehouse for about $120. A two light system, like mine, can be put together for about $300 and, in my case, definitely outperformed the degraded two-fiber optic lights that they replaced in my pool. More lights will add more cost. They could be controlled with the on/off automation that you have for current lights or with a wifi switch. There are some issues with some installations regarding the depth of your existing fiber optic pool inserts. Good luck.
