Chlorine keeps going back to 0

So I did do the overnight test, however my dad took the night test and I did the morning because I was out at work late, so there was some minor confusion on his behalf
I got to the store today and got a bunch of new chlorine. Doing the overnight test tonight. Just measured right before bed and it’s 7ppm
I will see what it says early tomorrow morning.
Thanks everyone.

Losing daily can be to sun and swimmer load, etc. But if you're losing from sun down to sun up, with no one in the pool, that indicates algae or some other chlorine goblin in your water. You need to post both the before and after FC results of your OCLT to help the guys helping you...

He did. In one post he said it started at 7ppm in the evening and in the next post he said it was down to 6ppm in the morning.

That’s in the acceptable range. Just on the edge of acceptable, but still acceptable.

Stand corrected, my bad, thanks. Ideally OCLT results should be in the same post to help us find them more easily. Something along the lines of:
FC at night: 7ppm
FC in morning: 6ppm
Overnight loss: 1ppm

Some of the experts here are helping dozens of people on a daily basis. So we do what we can to make it a bit easier for them.

Sorry guys, I was just updating as I went.
Yes 7ppm last night
6ppm this morning
Loss of 1ppm

so appears to be ok. I’m just going to pay real real close attention to better understand my pool and how much I’m losing daily.

I appreciate all of your help guys!

It's why we keep harping on everybody having a complete signature. It's really time consuming to have to go back through what can be pages of a thread to remember what type of pool, how big, what kind of equipment and testing gear, how you're chlorinating, how your filtering, etc. Imagine having to read every line of every post every time to refresh your memory of a thread. Multiply that by dozens and the experts would never be able to help the number of people they do. The signature appears in every post, so it makes it super easy and fast to remember who and what we're dealing with...

Hint, hint. ;)
