@Leebo you implemented a new style sheet, at least for PC browsers.

The number of messages in a thread was on the right hand side. Now that number is buried on the third line on the left.

Also the font seems smaller and light. I increased the font size to Extra Large in Preferences but that was not necessary before.

I found that number of message helpful both to spot threads with high activity that I might want to look in and see what was being discussed as well as threads with 0 replies who are being ignored and maybe should get a reply. The location of the reply number int he new style sheet is harder to browse through.

So I don't know what the intent of the update was but I liked it the old way.

Can you give a selection of different style sheet layouts?

I like all the info in the new update...
  • Original poster
  • Original post date
  • Number of posts to thread
  • Most recent poster
  • Most recent post date
While the font may be less than ideal for some, at least this info is there - FINALLY.
I missed this info after the major forum update last year. Glad its back!

I assume this info returned by adding a mod/extension to the forum software. If so, someone else designed that mod and - at least for now - we are stuck with that persons idea of how the mod should look and display the info. Maybe @Leebo Lee (our webmaster) can get together with Rich (who has made a good number of mods for another popular forum software) and possibly tweak this one for easier reading. Psst, Rich @RMcGirr83 - any ideas? :poke:

The timing of this wasn't ideal for sure. That said, there was a security update that was bundled with the style update that was important to install...........so it was. There are some options to alter the font size that I will be tinkering with later today hopefully because I totally understand the font is a touch difficult to read. That said the info that's displayed won't be altered much at all.

If you're talking about this stuff

That's set via css .structItem-minor which currently has a font-size of 1.2rem. To make it bigger @Leebo would have to change the 1.2 to 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.etc

Here it is at 1.4

and here it is at 1.8 (ungodly ugly IMHO)

For all I know it may be as simple as changing something in the back end Admin area (I've never used Xenforo) on the mod/extension/style...whatever was done to have that now.

Unfortunately it's not as easy to do with @Arizonarob banana hammock. ;)

BTW, I have no idea if this will affect/effect (I always have issues with those two words, like @ajw22 has with than/then :p) the responsiveness when viewed on a cell phone. <---- disclaimer
That's what I've gotta test with before any switching. It's a snap to alter...........I've just gotta get the time to test on a few devices.

FWIW, @all if you go into your preferences you can change the font size. Mine was set on medium I changed it to large and it's much easier to read.
This is what I was thinking too. Most of us never leave here anyway so it’s not going to mess up any *other* websites.....
