I am setting up our 27' pool mostly on my own (until we get to the wall install of course).
I am in the process of getting my 4x8x16 pavers level to themselves and level to each other. I laid out the pool ring so it was circular and checked at multiple spots that opposite upright base supports were 27' apart. Then I installed the first few pavers.
Problem as you all know is that when you remove the upright base piece and move bottom rail out of the way it shifts everything slightly. Then once the paver is in I'm feeling the need to recheck to make sure everything is still circular. For 18 pavers that's a lot of checking.
What is your favorite trick to make sure everything stays circular? I was thinking of cutting a piece of plywood slightly bigger than the paver to use to spray paint the outline of all the remaining pavers on the ground to use as a guide. I think this will work fine unless it rains again before I'm done
Any other suggestions? Pool instructions aren't super helpful. They first say to pack a ring of crushed rock around the circumference to use as base for the uprights and bottom rails, then stick nails through the holes in the bases to keep the ring intact. But then they say "placing uprights on patio stones recommended." Well, it's hard to drive a nail into a patio stone...
