Our pool is about a foot wider than our cement pad. How do you suggest we level the foot or so of ground on the side of our cement pad? Just dig, fill with road base, tamp down, then cover with crusher fine? We are using interlocking foam mats under our pool.
Thank you!!

Thank you!!

Could you build a wood platform even with the cement pad?

Yes, we could do that. The ground is even with the cement pad already, do you think a wood platform would better support that side of the pool?

I am new to this all so hopefully some with more experience will answer. Seems to be a wood deck addon would be better than building up the ground that can risk washing away.

how big of a drop is it from cement to grass?

Oh, the ground is level with the cement. I’m just concerned that the ground will have more “give.” Can we just put some pavers under the pool’s feet on that side?

You are on site. We have no idea about the type and quality of the soil next to the concrete area.

For a 100% guarantee bring in some cement and extend the pad. Otherwise you can put some pavers down and hope the ground under it will hold the load. Be prepared to drain the pool if the ground can't handle it.
