So after a few weeks of using my M600, I can say it’s an amazing robot, much better than my old Hayward aquavac 500. It does a really good job on the waterline, and the fact it’s online and can turn it on from my phone, and drive if need be, is a nice feature. Also the extra large basket makes cleaning a breeze compared to the aquavac. I named it Harvey 2, keeping with its predecessor, and in homage to the infamous hurricane that happened during the opening week of the new pool.
In an attempt to prolong the life of this robot I built an enclosure for the “brain” to keep it out of the sun and weather out of starboard. It sits right near the pool under the roof overhang so relatively protected. Turned out nice in my opinion and beats the caddy that it came with.

Wow..... the box is great! Especially since you control Harvey 2 via your phone. Love the tattoo Harvey wears also... :goodjob:

I didn't buy the caddie to go with my "Sheldon 2.0" but his control box sits in our "pool shed" all plugged in and ready to switch on. If we tweak our outlet situation near our equipment pad I'm going to remember your box and it would be ideal.

Fn,

I am not a caddie man myself... My power supply is mounted to a wall under the roof overhang, so it does not get wet..

I have found that wrapping the cable up too tightly makes it more prone to tangle.. I use much bigger loops. I also only put just enough cable in the pool so that the robot can get to the farthest point and leave the rest on the deck.

I like your power supply box and robot name..

Thanks for posting,

Jim R.

Well so far I’m liking the box a lot. We’ve had some hard rains since install, and the box has stayed nice and dry on the inside being under the eaves. The cord I keep coiled up under is zip tied; the rest is just enough for Harvey 2 to keep the pool clean. The caddy has since moved to the attic as I don’t foresee ever using it, and the box keeps things tidier.

I like the box too. I may just drill a hole in wall of shop next to our pool and leave unit in there. My first test run of M600 did a great job except stairs, which they say it won’t do. I had trouble connecting to Wifi but then it worked after several tries. This works so much better than my other pressure cleaner.

If you want the m600, you need to go through a brick and mortar dealer. I used a local pool care company, and they cut me a good deal and even offered to test drive a few different models if I wanted. It’s not the cheapest robot out there, but I think features for the $ spent it was a good bargain. If there’s interest I can post some instructions on how I built my box. I had leftover half sheet of the king starboard from another project, but if you had to buy it probably around $100 or so.

Yes, but they don't need to be local. Marina Pool & Spa for example gets a lot of recommendations here. Order by phone.

Im a new member here and because of everyone's recommendations I decided to use them. I called today at 11am and my package was shipped 3pm. Margret was very friendly and helpful. I will recommend her to anyone.

Just received my M600 from Marina Pool & Spa. Margret was very helpful. Shipping was free and crazy fast. I tried a friend's Dolphin Premium before buying and liked it also. The M600 is definitely in a different category however. It can traverse the pool easily, doesn't get stuck on drains or anywhere for that matter. Way more powerful. It travels sideways down the wall for the length of the pool many times. Pretty incredible. It is bigger and heavier, so there is a downside. But the amount of water it pumps through is pretty crazy.
Highly recommend also if you have the extra change.

Ryan

Does anyone know if the basket/bottom opening on the M600 is larger than an A30i? We have an elm tree right over our pool and we battle leaves, seed pods, and berries all year. Often the opening in the bottom of the A30i will get jammed with leaves and spend the rest of the cycle just driving around the pool. If the M600 has a larger basket and/or opening on the bottom that could push me into upgrading.

Not sure, but the first time I ran the M600, one of the circular covers that is on the outside of the treads came off. Needless to say I didn't have to go diving for it as the M600 ended up sucking it into the basket ?. The circular cover is probably 4" or 5" diameter with 1" clips. It moves a tremendous amount of water and has some pretty incredible suction.
