Hello! I'm also in Ottawa. We keep our pool open from May through much of October. The shoulder months are more costly for heat, but we really enjoy swimming.

Hello! I'm also in Ottawa. We keep our pool open from May through much of October. The shoulder months are more costly for heat, but we really enjoy swimming.

I was swimming in it until last week, but the nights got too cold and I was losing too much heat. I will still keep it open, though till the end of October. This way there should be less chance for algea when opening. What temperature do you keep it for swimming in the shoulder months?
