That really is not a bad deal. I was going to buy the tf-100 test kit anyway. This is were I have got most of my information on how to do stuff that and good ole youtube... BTW. Thanks for all the information.

Well its been raining here non stop now its getting colder out. I was worried about how low the temp could be before I can not install this liner.
Was hoping for the 80s but its been 45 -70, and we have had at least 5 inches of rain. Would it be better to wait to next spring to install the liner?

You can do it in 60s or better keep liner in a warm area and do it when sunny and no wind and have water ready
filling it with the hose thanks. There is 60s all next week just waiting on the liner ships in 3 days.. This industry is like used car salesman. lol
One thing I was worried about was the pressure relieve valves I installed in the main drains. I believe one was leaking. I removed it and just installed a plug, the other one seems to have a stronger spring, I might have installed the old one by accident, I just threw the parts in a box till I needed them and had taken the new ones out of the plastic. Do you guys think I need 2 or is one fine the drains are 4 feet apart. What do you use to tighten the plugs there seems to be different sizes the strainer extra port plug has a bigger square then the drain plugs.
Had no idea this project was going to take all summer... So many other things need done.
I dont install main drains anymore they aren't worth the hassle. The plugs are regular 3/4" mpt threads. Plastic or brass only for pool water
YA I debated on just doing away with them but wasnt sure so I just installed daul drains instead of the single, I was refuring to what kind of tool is used to install them,. I made one. Square in a small space you would think they would just mold like a 1/2 in socket so you could just use an extension and a ratchet.
The liner shipped yesterday. I didnt know they would ship it fed ex so it should be here tomorrow. Wall foam is to be here as well.
Still have concrete to pour for the decking,.

Well a update, padding on the walls, liner in, and water going in..... It was 70 here yesterday and no rain.... still have concrete to do and the last gate but the pool I think is done.... One thing I did do was put fanfold on the bottom shallow end for some padding for the kids. Kinda wish i would of done the whole thing except for the bottom deep end. 1 thing I learned was to put the drain covers in before filling the pool. Its hard to put them in when there is 2-3 feet of water, you cant tell were the screw holes are. Going on just under 24 hours of water 
I will post a few more pics then break down what was spent. So if anyone else is questioning to fix or fill.

WHAT??? You did it!!! You got and put in the liner!!! OH HAPPY DAY!!! Did you have any help???
Tell us what you ended up doing about the corners. This could be a learning thing for others in the future.
Don't forget to show all of the pics of the house and yard. Before and After....we love a good rehab story! Make sure to include the done steps LOL

This was the corner change, only changed because the last liner was made wrong tried to make it easy for the liner people to make. The corners were made from stainless steel and were made wrong or the measurement was incorrect leaving about a 1/2 in from were the pool coping was I filled that in with 1/2 inch Pink foam (closed cell). Duct taped the new corners in place covered that with foam board gluing that on, Then covered with the pool wall foam. All was done myself cept the better 1/2 helped me hang the liner. BTW. The liner was in the box backwards so after getting it pulled up to the shallow end I had to turn the whole thing 180 deg.

Well done on the corners!! That looks awesome with the liner on it as well. I can't wait to see how nice it looks with water all the way up!

liners are easy and yes I think I used some curse words, but after looking at the other end and it was labeled shallow. pool padding,floor padding and liner was done in one day. Side note on pool padding buy it from a pool place amazon sells some stuff that is not cut straight I had to tape it to the top of the copping and then trim it all the way around, it was a whole 7 dollars cheaper .

Purgalo thing for the last gate, and the concrete in that far corner, Then I am going to try and get the chimney rebuilt before it gets to cold. I also have a huge tree to finish cutting up, it was dead a year ago and fell right before last winter, just got a chainsaw so I have been cutting it up and hauling it up the huge sloping back yard. Pool is still filling up about 2-3 inches in the shallow end and there is a wrinkle right in the middle, tried to move it with my feet but its not moving the vacuum is still on, searching now when I can shut it off. still have to get chemicals and still have to buy a test kit.
Try a toilet plunger to move the wrinkle. Not sure about when to remove the vacuum bit do know it has to be before the water reaches it. @ajw22 do you know the answer?

Depends on the wrinkle. If you are shallow in depth I'd drain it and stretch it while it's easy to do. You cant move it with feet if theres any water too much weight. The plunger works but it's a stretch away from wrinkle process. Pool brush can help pulling pushing away from it. We stop water below the lowest wall fitting then cut them in usually the pool light is first. It's safe to leave with a foot or more of water in shallow end
Better 1/2 is happy with it. Ended up with 2 small wrinkles one is close to the wall should be easy the other is in the center, tommorow I will try and see if I can move it. Last time I tried the vacume was still going and it wouldnt move. Here is what it cost. I am sure I missed something. KEEP in mind almost everything was bought on sale some items were reused from the old pool. Already rembered more :/ rebuilt kit for the pump and sand for the filter, and of course the deck still has to be pored in far corner. I learned from this to write down costs as I go. lol

Here is a story for ya our closet pool store here, go in needing face plates for the return. The guy didnt even know what a face plate for a return was, gave him the hayward number SPX1408B he said I would have to come back he had no idea what I needed. I showed him the faceplates . Guess I will not ask them any questions about anything. got to order the test kit tonight. Guess we went from summer to winter, no one even told me Winter is coming,,,,, I forgot to show it full look at all those leaves
