So it hasn’t rained in over a week (closer to two weeks) and I don’t see any in the forecast for the next week (I am aware this could change) but my water is obviously slowly evaporating from this beautiful sunshine we have been having every day. I do not have a solar cover and I don’t know what to do. I have an Intex pool and the top of the jet valve is exposed but not the middle part where the water is coming out fast (if that makes sense lol). I guess my question is, what do I do in this situation? Throw the hose in the pool and fill an inch or so?

EDIT: I do not have any leaks and the evaporation rates are very normal; there just hasn’t been any rain in a couple weeks and it’s been very sunny and hot. And I know I need a solar cover but I also need a solution for my current situation first lol

Wait at least an hour. I would wait until your next daily check. No reason to rush adjusting things.

Don't fixate on your pools TA every time you add some fill water.
Simply test your pool water pH the next day during your regular testing then run your numbers in Pool Math.
Keep your pH below 8. It may take a couple of applications of muratic acid over a week or two of testing to compensate for the high TA fill water but it will reach a balance again soon.
