Yeah, I completed 1st test and entered results in pool math. Now I don't know what to do first.

First I would add some chlorine, maybe use 100 or 110 as cya level.

I would do a diluted cya test to see how much you need to drain to get the cya down. You may want to dump tube back into bottle, shake and do test 3 or 4 times to see if you are consistent reading it. (helps me)

TA Make sure you are dropping slowly and wiping tip of reagent bottle between drops. Mine turns red so need an expert on that.

I did diluted cya test and came up with 120 each time. I guess I should add bleach first then work on draining to get cya down. The enclosure we have is not temperature controlled, so would it be considered an indoor pool?

Yes. We leave windows open in summer. In winter we keep them closed. The windows are vinyl with screens

Okay, then your first task is to lower that CYA. Your diluted test indicated at least 120, so you'll need to exchange water to lower the CYA. If you have chlorine tabs (pucks) in there, remove them now. Those products increase CYA way too high.

Ideally, I would like to see your CYA closer to around 30-50. For your pool, 30 is ideal .. 50 max since your pool probably gets quite a bt of shade. You have a cartridge filter, so you probably have no way to remove water to "waste" with a multiport valve like someone wiht a sand filter. So that means to change water, you'll need to use a seperate pump or siphon water out. At the same time, you must always be careful about the shell and not lower too much water all at once. Our FG pools need to be stabilized witih the weight of the water. Make sense?

So you may have to do several slow water exchanges or slowly pump water out from the deep end while adding fresh water at the shallow. Not as efficient, but it keeps the shell full. Lowering the CYA is step #1 to being able to manage your water properly.

Perfect! The CYA will never go up again unless you want it to - on purpose. Save any unused tabs for later. They last a long time in a sealed container. So for now, simply determine the best way to slowly exchange water. Easy CYA math .... changing half of the water lowers the CYA by 50%. So use that as a guideline. You may need to do 2-3 partial water exchanges to ensure the shells stays weighed-down and secure, but that's okay. Once you've done that and know your CYA is back down to 30-50, we can help you balance the water properly. If we suspect an algae is trying to grow from the overloaded CYA and lack of chlorine, we can help you through a SLAM Process later. But the CYA is #1 for now.
