Dolphin Pool Robot Question

Hello All... I'm very curious about the advantage of having a cleaning schedule for the dolphin pool robots. If i'm not able to leave the robot in the pool every day, what is the purpose of having the ability to schedule the days/times the robot should clean? Since it is not recommended to leave the robot in the water and I have to take it out after every cleaning cycle, how does scheduling help if I have to lower it in the water every time I want it to clean? It is almost like a manual process every single time I want it to clean. Please let me know if i'm not understanding something. Thanks in advance!

Liability. If someone gets in the pool with the robot in the pool and gets tangled in the power cord, they could drown.

Just giving you more confirmation that some people leave it in the water. I do mine. Clean out the filters everyday though. I have the control unit/caddy protected under one of those plastic storage boxes so it stays plugged in all the time and is protected from weather.

Our robot stays in the pool pretty much 75% of the time. Does a two hour cycle everyday. I am like mknauss, whereas I take it out to clean filters (twice a week) and when we have a lot of people over to swim (about every other weekend). Plugged in all the time. No issues.
