Went into the pool store to buy my liquid chlorine

As I was walking out to load my 3 cases, another truck pulled up. A woman got on, looking exasperated. Set a bottle of pool water on the counter and said to the teenager behind the counter, "can you tell me what is wrong with my pool?"

I chuckled to myself as I walked out thinking "No, he cannot." Her husband was going by my truck as I loaded the cases, and I almost stopped him and told him to come here. Not sure what stopped me, probably just wanting to mind my own business. But boy did I feel sorry for them............

It's a conundrum whether to say anything or not. A lot of times I want to say something, but it's probably better off that I don't.

There have been times when I've been asked a question about something, and then I gently guide them in the right direction. Sometimes it's done some good and sometimes it hasn't.

If anything I would leave it at "hey, there's a great forum called Trouble Free Pool .com that might be able to help you out if that stuff doesn't work." They might visit, they might not, but you didn't waste much time if they don't and you didn't scare them away with a bunch of radically different ideas than what they are used to.

Agree all around. I just hated seeing them spend a couple hundred dollars are bandaids.

Don brings up a good point @Leebo , what if TFP could design a card with the TFP forum address and slogan that we all could download and have a copy on the wallet to give out instead of trying to talk to people.

Yes, Yes they are... that's where I buy my Liquid Chlorine from, in their 2.5 Gal containers.
