Pump recommendation for pool/spa combo with waterfall

Looking for pump recommendation. My system has the following characteristics:

8000 gallons
Pool/Spa with a waterfall
Spa has 4 jets
Current pump is an old 2.25HP Hayward
Pipes are 2"

This is a small pool and it is automated to be ran as Spa Mode (water circulates only in the spa) or Pool Mode (waterfall - water circulates and overflow the spa into the pool and also a small parts circulates in the pool).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What automation do you have? A variable speed pump or even a two speed may help save you on electricity. But more info is needed. Can you fill out your Signature?
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry and consider reviewing the entire Pool School eBook.

Thanks for your replies. By automation meant that there is a pneumatic push switch that allow to switch between spa mode or pool/waterfall mode.

I did built my own automation system in top of that using sonoff devices and a raspberry pi running OpenHab so I can control it from a phone or tablet.

Of course! Already working on it. You cannot beat a under $100 automation system that does what you need vs the commercial available at $2K-$3K. Here is a screenshot of my phone app:
