Already have questions. After the install the low salt light was on even though I tested it at 3400. The installers recommended adding some more salt so I added one bag and hours later the red light was still on. Then I added the second bag and an hour later the low salt light went off. I check and my chlorine levels were up from 7 to 8.4. so it was working. I just need to wait for the levels to come down closer to 4ppm. What to do about the low salt even though my test conflicts. Now testing at 3900ppm slat. Any advice greatly appreciated....

I suspect after the salt has time to completely mix in, your ET will report about the same salinity level as your test. Doubt you need the extra salt.

Brush the pool really well. If you have a pool cleaner, run it. All those things will mix the pool. When the salt dissolves the resulting high salinity water sits on bottom. If you have a main drain, open it up.

Is that an Acid Injection Tap I see just prior to the IntelliChlor? If so, nice. :goodjob:
r.
No it is the wildly unpopular Del Ozone thing-a-ma-jig. When it fails I'll replace with intellichem  I wish I had gotten intellichlor and chem instead of Del Ozone.... Lesson learned.

What does the salinity show in the Easytouch?
I abviously need to RTFM.. I'll download manuals and read them. I clicked around in settings for intellchlor on the easytouch but didn't see anything.

Shouldn't there be a check valve before the heater/cooler exit or is that blue arrow a check valve
Blue arrow is flow direction for Del Ozone.

It is possible there should be but there is now. Also the guy that came out to setup the intellichlor said there were bonding wires but they were not connected to anything. So this week I will run the bonding wires to all the equipment.... BAH!!!!!!

In the ET, you go to Diagnostics, then Chlorinator. There it tells you the Salinity it is reading.

Ok I did another manual test and came up with 3600ppm salt but cell still says low. I have two more bags of salt on standby. I went into the diagnostics on the easytouch to see salt levels and it says COM LINK ERROR. Could this also be why the low salt light is on? I've been brushing the pool everyday since adding salt.

Check the cable from IntelliChlor to the EasyTouch motherboard.

Do you have an external Intellichlor power supply or is it in the Easytouch box?

It has its own power supply and then all the cables go into the easy touch of course. I haven't messed with that much.
I turned everything off and back on.
While it was coming back up in the diagnostics sectiction it said ok and no errors. All green.
Then when the intellichlor was back on and not flashing it went to com link error but this time low salt light was off.

It is pouring down rain so I will refrain from putting a wet screwdriver into the panel  I don't want to see the electric blue jesus lol.... Once the rain lets up I'll check it out.

Thanks

Show us some pics of the SWCG power supply with the cover off or up...

I have doubts it is installed correctly... Some things to look for.... All the lights on the cell should be off when the pump is off... There should be a com cable that goes from the SWCG power supply to the main board in the EasyTouch..

Did your PL4 come with ScreenLogic???

If you go to Menu, Settings, IntelliChlor, Enable = yes.. See if you can adjust the % of output on the EasyTouch and see if the same percentage shows up on your cell...

Thanks,

Jim R.

There should be a power cord going from the cell to the Intellichlor power box.

There should be a flex conduit going from the Intellichlor power supply box to the Easytouch box to provide power to the Intellichlor power supply box.

There should also be a small, low voltage wire that goes from the Intellichlor power supply box to the Easytouch box to provide communications from Easytouch to the Intellichlor.

Maybe the low voltage communications wire didn't get installed?
