ya gotta do that in texas. hopefully it will turn out well. picking out counter this weekend. wanted to do cement but i don't have time. need it completed by 6/1.

Looks great!! What materials are you using to build that outdoor kitchen? I had something similar in mind, but I do not have an idea what to use. Thanks!

i am probably going to use a chocolate lueders on the counter and a stack stone on the facing with stucco on the backside.

Ahh nice....got ya....I have checked those out before....that's what I was figuring. How much did that model set you back? Wasn't sure if they were reasonably priced.
I like the idea of stack stone. Very interested to see your progress pics!

It was not cheap. 1500.00 for framing. Overall I am pleased with it so far but it was a lot of work. About 1/3 way done putting Durock on. We have changed up our idea and now are going with concrete countertops (more work) because it is what we really wanted to begin with. Just won't have it finished for the party. Looking at the stack stone process, it appears to be the same requirements as Stucco. When I get to that point I will make a decision on how to go. I will probably try my hand at Stucco on the backside and see how it goes. If I like it, I may use it all around to save some $$. I still have about 2-3K electrical work I need to get done around my pool. I just cannot seem to find an electrician interested.

Yeah I hear ya....I was looking at the Dallas U (I think that's what it was) and it was pretty pricey. May just try and build with pressure treated wood....not sure if that'll be good in the elements though. Trying to be cost effective as much as possible with the bar build.
How are you doing the counter tops with concrete...polished?
