First SLAM in 10+ years

Checked my FC before taking baby home (ok... she insisted on it because she likes scooping the powder and dropping the pill in along with turning on the speed stir  ) Its still at 13ppm. I'm just going to let it go, check it tonight once it's dark and check it in the morning and hopefully, we'll wrap this SLAM up as one of the quickest completed in TFP history. I'll let y'all know if I pass the OCLT.

A neighbor from up the street who walks his dog past our house 2xs a day just told my husband that the pool looks great! The neighbors are definitely noticing.

Oh it's to cold Kim! Another month n we'll be swimming. I need to work some overtime for a heater.

I'm willing to bet that she would be up to jumping into it even though the water is cold...how long she stays in may be another matter.

Her n Pap were playing around it yesterday while I was cutting grass. I asked both of them, How did you get so wet?! They both pointed at each other! Lol

Great job Casey! It looks so sparkly!

Thank you. Before I started, I went with a game plan and it worked out in my favor! I believe the best thing I did was get all that junk off the bottom and secondly was to hit it hard and keep at it.

You did a great job getting your pool ready so quickly, it's going to take me a lot longer...LOL

Get all the debris off the floor and start SLAM'ing. You can add DE to your filter and backwash when the pressure goes up. Test the water regularly and keep it at SLAM level.

Hi Casey, Nice job! I was hoping to open the pool on another property last weekend, but when I removed the cover, the water is very green and I just won't have the time to work with it regularly until next week.

We seem to be in the same general geographical area, so if I'm not being too 'nebby', can you tell me where you grabbed all that 10% @ $2.99? Everything I've found so far is either more expensive, or stale 6%.
Thanks!

I bought mine at OLLIES. You have to get there and stock up as soon as possible because they bring in one shipment for the summer and that's it. Once it's gone, it's gone. It's $2.99 a jug. I bought 50.

Ha ha, I ride by an Ollies almost daily but never thought to go in to look for pool chems. Acting on your suggestion I went tonight and lo and behold...pallets upon pallets of 10%....and only about 30 days past it's birthday. I picked up 11 cases (of 3 ea) for the pool at our property up in Johnstown, and will go back tomorrow to stock up for the new build here at home in Monroeville. Since I signed up for their rewards program, I'll save an additional 15% on my total tomorrow, so I'll definitely be stocking up.
Thanks for the suggestion!
