I have no idea what type of pool cleaner would work on my pool s hopefully you'll all be able to help me out.
I ahve a 127KL bean shaped pebblecrete pool with nice curves everywhere on the sides, no sharp angles except for the steps. it has 2 pumps and filters and chlorinators, a basket at each end of the pool.
It gets full of leaves of various smallish sizes, little bits of bark that surround the pool and general dust.
What type of pool cleaner would be best suited to this sort of pool? one of them kreepy krauly things or an automatic pool cleaner scrubber or what?? i have been told to keep away from them automatic robot ones as they break down and expensive to fix out of warranty.
i dont care if its conencted to and runs off the existing pump, that doesnt bother me.

RPD,

Welcome to TFP... A Great resource for all your pool and cleaner questions.. :shark:

Since you have not completed your signature, it is hard for us to provide you with equipment advice.

Your pool is either currently set up for a pressure side cleaner, which would normally have a separate booster pump, or a suction side cleaner which would not have a booster pump.

Knowing which set up you have would help us help you...

That said, like pooldv, I also have an electric powered robot. If it failed today, I would buy a new one before dark. If a burglar broke into my house, I'd give him my wife before my robot.. OK, maybe not, but it would be close..

A lot of people here still use water powered cleaners, so if you can let us know what kind (pressure or suction) I'm sure you will get some better comments.

Thanks for posting,

Jim R.
