Hi All! So I'm shopping for a robot and the local shops around here seem to carry the M400. I found one today for $1260 plus tax. That includes the robot and caddy. Is that a good price?

Also, is it customary for the Pool Stores to allow you to test a robot prior to purchasing?

Hello,

My local pool store has the M400 for $995 plus tax. I bought the M500 for $1295 plus tax.

I've heard that some stores let you test them...but maybe not all. You'd just have to ask them about their policy.

I think $1260 is too high for the M400, but prices may run differently in your area. I'd definitely shop around a bit though.

So, after months and hours of researching, I ended up ordering a Pentair Prowler 920 from a website for $745 (no taxes or shipping). This unit comes with a two year warranty! It appears to be similar to a Dolphin S200 which I understand is equivalent to the Doheny Discovery. Hopefully it will perform well for my needs. Does anyone have any feedback on this unit? It's not too late for me to cancel :p

Mind telling me where you ended up purchasing it from? I'm looking to pull the trigger on one as well. Thanks!
