Okay, the pool is coming up on 4 months old. White Quartz plaster.

Everything's been fine so far except for the constantly rising pH. I've been adding about 8-12 oz of muriatic acid per day. I think I'm ready to add borates to the pool to try and maintain the pH at a more constant level.

Is it too early to do so? Are there any good reasons to wait?

CYA is about 60 ppm
TA is about 80-100 ppm
FC is between 5-7 ppm depending on bather load
SWG is running at 10% duty cycle for about 18 hours/day.

Since it has already been four months you should be fine. Keep in mind that most of the PH increase you have been seeing is from the plaster curing and that will start to taper off around now, if it hasn't already. The borates will still help in any case.
