Went to the pool store yesterday - Whew!!! Does anyone have any recommendations for the best winter cover? And also do you need to put one of those floating pillows under it and if so what is the purpose of the pillow? I have a 30ft above ground round pool that we just got late in the summer thus this is my first time to close it. Thanks in advance for any advice offered. I am soooooo glad I found this sight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use (2) 4' x 15' pillows under my cover when I close. They keep the water and debris close to the edges so it's easier to get it off and pump/drain the water off.

I buy the cheapest cover I can get as it's only going to last a couple of years anyway.

You have passed the OCLT when: 1)You lose 1ppm or less FC overnight, & 2)You have .5ppm CC's or less, & 3)your water is clear.
