Does anyone have any opinions on using wicker around the pool? My only experience is one 4 piece set my wife bought at Brookshires grocery store (pretty cheap) that we had under a covered patio and it only lasted about one year. Is the longevity on wicker very short or did she just buy a cheap set? I have found a more quality wicker set that looks very nice but I am a little afraid of the wicker. What are your thoughts?

I am not a wicker expert but all of he wicker furniture we have had seems to wear out fast i don't think it likes the sun and outside climate very well.
