My water in my area is quite hard and I want to install an in-line filter from the main supply before it enters the house. This would help with the pool water when filled and with the water throughout the house. Any suggestions?

A filter won't do what you're looking to accomplish. You'll need a softener. Culligan is a major mfg of systems.

You have passed the OCLT when: 1)You lose 1ppm or less FC overnight, & 2)You have .5ppm CC's or less, & 3)your water is clear.
