Is it possible for tree roots to penetrate my gunite pool shell?
Some people say yes...some say no, unless the pool design/install was defective.
I come to this forum to hear the truth from the professionals.
Thank you.

They can't unless there's a previous defect. Which if there were one bad enough to allow roots to penetrate through, you'd have a leak

You have passed the OCLT when: 1)You lose 1ppm or less FC overnight, & 2)You have .5ppm CC's or less, & 3)your water is clear.

To elaborate on what Bama said, roots will chase water. No water leaks = no root issues.
