Thanks for the formula's and also for all the help. Without you and the other folks here I'd be at the mercy of some bone-headed tech.

Based on the math I've got around 39 feet of head, so I figure I'm somewhere around 70 GPM with puts me a 6 hours for 1 turn per day. (Your cost comparison workbook came close to this number.) The pool does not get heavy use so that's probably good enough. I've got an old Intermatic mechanical timer but I figure I can get another on/off pair of clips and split the run into early morning/late evening and get some off peak rates now that I've got a PG&E smart meter installed.
