Intex 12x30, which sand filter?

Hello all, I am working on setting up my first pool, an Intex 12x30 metal frame (1700 gallons).

I was planning on getting the 1200gph Intex sand filter, is that adequate or should I be looking at larger one? I've read about larger pumps blowing the hoses off these smaller pools. I'm not sure at what size I'll run into mismatched tubing sizes either, I was hoping to avoid that. I believe the 12x30 pool and the 1200gph sand filter both use 1.25" hoses. I also like the fact that it only uses 1.8 amps (less $$).

I should also mention I plan on upgrading to a 14x42 (3300 gallons) in 3-4 years.

I will be using an Intex SWG if that makes any difference. It says it needs at least 700gph so the 1200 (1050 throughput I believe) should be plenty?

Thanks for any advice.

The other problem I am having is figuring which pump is which. For example Walmart.com says this 28645EG is 1600gph. But this other site says the 28645EG is 1200gph. And Intex says here that it's is 2100GPH! But if I download the manual that they provide on that page, there is no model 28645EG listed at all, only these 3 models: SF80110, SF70110, SF60110. Which are 1600, 2150, and 2450 GPH.

Oh, and Sears.com has the best price on it, at $109, but their page lists it as being both 2100 and 1050 gph on the same page.

I found this chart on the Intex website that lists their pumps and their capacities, but it doesn't list the 28645EG nor any of the other 3 models I mentioned that were in the manual.

This is like trying to shop for a mattress! (A zillion different models many of which are probably the same thing).
