I have a 25x 45 foot gunite pool which I recently had marble dusted with dark grey. The finish is very smooth however, it is not even. There are dark spots and swirls. The previous marble dusting was hollow so they had to chip it away and the new marble dust was feathered in creating dark areas on the side like liquid dripping. The contractor wants to try to acid wash to see if that would make the finish more even. I am concerned that it will roughen up the finish and not solve the problem. Does anyone have any advice? HN
