Back in May, I posted a thread how my running pressure jumped from 16.5 - 17 PSi to 22 PSI. Solved the problem today.

Way back in 2000 (or so - not sure exactly when), I put in a propane pool heater (this was when propane was $1 / gallon - my last fill last September was $4 / gallon), I had put in a brass check valve that used a spring. It had been fine all these years, until this summer.

So, I had Ferguson's order me a PVC swing 1.5 inch check valve. This morning, I disconnected the pool heater and put in the new check valve. Problem solved !! Running pressure back down to 16.5 - 17 PSI, and flow out the returns nice and strong. I'm expecting vacuuming to work better now, also...
